回到那一刻

像陆地上的巨大悬崖
但时间是无情的
随着时间的推移
暴雨
软化了岩石
时间使然
峭壁也变得平坦
她不再是
古老的岩石
但地球总是
记得
即使剩下很少
她总是记得
因为她比人类更长寿
人们住在她的山丘上
他们来了又走了
她的一些采伐点
竖立起纪念碑
膜拜想象中的神
与此同时,她继续存在
作为平原上的女神
正当人类
因病死亡
并且不再
她留下来了
更加平坦,不再庞大
但地球总是记得
她记得

the rock once towered as a
great precipice over the land
but time was unkind
as time can be
bruising rain
mellowed the rock
and time made
her jaded crags smooth
no longer was she
the great rock of ages
but the earth always
remembers
even with little left remaining
she always remembers
for she outlasted the humans
that lived among her hills
they had come and gone
some cutting sections of her
to erect monuments
worshiping imagined gods
meanwhile she lasted
as goddess over the plain
even as the humans
succumbed to illness
and were no more
she remained
smoother, less immense
but the earth always remembers
she remembers
